REITs are in the long run a good investment, because they do provide a much needed service to people who don't own their homes, and to everybody who has needs for food and other necessities, which obviously is all of us. They do provide apartments to live in (though usually for affluent people -- they're not slumlords. Plus, they provide high quality buildings of other kinds.
Equity REITs are Best Investment
Some real estate investments trusts go after the affluent shopping mall market, but others concentrate on the normal type of neighborhood shopping mall anchored by a large grocery store. We all shop at those places.
