Piedmont Office Realty Trust (NYSE:PDM) is a real estate investment trust specializing in Class A office buildings in major markets. Piedmont held its Initial Public Offering February 10, 2010, but is already one of the ten largest in this real estate sector.
Piedmont Office is fully integrated, self-administered and self-managed. It acquires, develops, owns, manages and disposes of office buildings primarily leased to high quality tenants. It's in Washington, D. C., Atlanta, greater Los Angeles, the New York metropolitan area, Boston and Chicago.
Piedmont has been around for awhile. It was incorporated as Wells Real Estate Investment Trust Inc July 3, 1997. It acquired its first property in March 1998 and began active operations in June 1998. Its headquarters are in Atlanta Georgia. Donald A. Miller CFA is Chief Executive Officer.
