Colonial Properties Trust is a REIT that owns a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate properties in the Sunbelt area of the United States. They own over 250 properties in 14 states.

Colonial Properties (NYSE: CLP) has its headquarters in Birmingham Alabama. It is included in the S&P SmallCap 600 Index. They own or manage over 37,000 apartment units, 16.3 million square feet of office space, and 8.1 million square feet of retail shopping space. It's over 35 years old.
