Highwoods Properties is a real estate investment trust founded in 1978 and now based in Raleigh North Carolina. They provide leasing, management, development, construction and customer services for their own properties and others. They are fully integrated and self-administered, and structured as an UPREIT.
They own or have an interest in 381 office, industrial and retail properties with 34.2 million square feet, and own 616 acres of property for development. They have properties in eastern southern and Midwestern states: Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
The do have a dividend reinvestment plan, or DRIP. Their stock ticker symbol is HIW on the New York Stock Exchange.
Their properties include Highwoods Bay Center I in Tampa Florida, GlenLake Six in Raleigh North Carolina, CentreGreen Five in Carey North Carolina, Highwoods Tower Two in Raleigh North Carolina, North Shore Commons II in Glen Allen Virginia, Highwoods Plaza in Glen Allen Virginia, BNA Corporate Center in Nashville Tennesee, Cool Springs IV in Franklin Tennessee, One Ward Parkway in Kansas City Missouri, Boared of Trade, Kansas City, Court of the Penguins in Kansas City Missouri and Landmark Center Two in Orlando Florida.
