Chartwell Seniors Housing REIT (TSX: CSH.UN) is an unincorporated, open-ended trust formed from the combination of three different companies providing care and housing to senior citizens.

Chartwell Care Corporation began in 1999. Alert Care Corporation began in 1985. The Binions Companies began in 1978.

They combined into Chartwell, and the Initial Public Offering (IPO) was November 14, 2003.

Brent Binions is the President and Chief Executive Officer. It's based in Mississiqua Ontario. They have facilities in almost all of Canada, and eleven states in the United States.
